Defect Size Characterization in Unidirectional Curved GFRP Composite by TSR Processed Pulse and Lock in Thermography: A Comparison Study

چکیده

Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) curved composite is widely used in industries due to its high corrosive resistance nature. GFRP composites are involved many like petrochemical for handling oil and gas at offshore platforms, chemical processes such as storage tanks, desalination, water treatment. Since alloy steel materials get corroded by environmental factors excess salinity the surrounding environment, mud deposition, sulfur crude accumulation makes pipes expensive maintain. Every year billions of dollars can be saved corrosion prevention using Fiber Reinforced Polymer instead pipes. In-service stage pipe or tank, different types defects forming void, delamination, wall loss (pits). Among all these defects, pits one severe which may lead leakage accidents. The objective study quantification defect size TSR processed pulsed lock-in thermography analyses their capabilities quantification. PT image signal noise ratio was estimate For measurement, TSR-processed thermal results recommended near-surface measured with accuracy LT.
